Overview
When you install IntelliTrack Inventory, a Compact utility is created for
the workstation application file. Running the Compact Inventory Work-
station Utility reconditions the IntelliTrack Inventory front-end database
files, thus improving your system performance. It is a good idea to run this
utility at regular intervals, based on system usage.
Note: You cannot run the Compact Utility when IntelliTrack Inventory is
open.
Compacting
the
Workstation
Application
File
To compact the workstation application file, exit IntelliTrack Inventory and
then select Start > Programs > IntelliTrack > DMS > Inventory >
Inventory Workstation > Compact Inventory Workstation. The Com-
pact Workstation Utility will open. You will see a Compacting status bar
along the bottom of the window. When the application file is compacted,
the Compact Inventory Workstation Utility closes automatically.
